CAROL MULCARE

Carol had no formal art training until she joined a charcoal class in 1965 with Jay O'Meilia, a well-known Tulsa artist.

Carol is a member of Alpha Rho Tau, a civic art association in Tulsa where she served as President for three years and remains an active member on the board.  She is a member of the Ponca City Art Association and a member of the Edmond Art Association.

Her work has been exhibited in the American Art in miniature at Gilcrease and several juried shows at Philbrook Museum and she has paintings in private collections across the United States.

From there, she went on to study oil painting techniques with Jerry Linker at Triangle in Tulsa who taught the Dick Turner method of painting.  She has been fortunate enough to have studied intermittently over a twenty year span with Dalhart Windberg, a Texas artist known for his romantic realism, and Dorothy Dent of Republic, Missouri.  She has also painted under the direction of Ross Myers of Tulsa.

She hopes to remain active in the art world and continue her studies in the field she loves.  Her motivation is to create expressive, realistic and beautiful paintings.
